 Kubu Balian Beach Bungalows were built between 2006-8 in the small village of Pengasahan in Tabanan Regency in the west of Bali. The larger adjacent village of Suraberata is better known and the drive here from Denpasar or Kuta is approximately 55-60km’s on the main traffic route to Java, being the Denpasar-Gilimanuk road. The drive takes approximately 1.5-2hours. Kubu Balian is located near the beach, overlooking the surf break across a sloping paddock, where cows graze under coconut palms. We have four rental bungalows of differing sizes, suitable from singles and couples to families. We offer a quiet and tranquil environment in lush garden surrounds, close to the nearby village temple, hence the quietness of our complex. If you are tired of the speed and scene of Kuta, Legian and Seminyak, Balian provides the perfect calming alternative. We cater more specifically for the over 35’s age groups and run a quiet complex. For those more into the party atmosphere, there is other accommodation elsewhere that is more suitable. Note: For expatriates, sorry no pets allowed, we have our own.
